I am so excited to announce that I have been accepted into the Strut Art Program for 2026 and will have my own month long solo exhibition in their Castro space! The dates are still to be determined but it will be some time next year!
I almost didn't apply, I was probably the last application they received because the application was technically closed but it was a holiday so the Google form hadn't been taken down yet. I spent over 2 hours writing, taking pictures, sending those pictures back and forth from my phone and slow ass computer to edit the file types and names, and I sent it off thinking at most I'd get my art in a group exhibit. But I beat out everyone else! My art is what they're excited to put in their walls.
I have taken Cool Bodies down from the shop because I want to include it in this show, but I plan on getting prints made of it and a few other pieces, I just need to find a print shop or site that allows "pornography", baby girl it's a painting, but whatever, I can't control other company's terms of services.
I will make another post when I know more, especially when I know when the opening party is as I will be there in person to enjoy this achievement!
